London: 1001 Inventions Book Signing Event
10th April 2010, 12:00 - 16:00
| VENUE: | Science Museum, London (click for directions) | |
The Chief Editor of the groundbreaking publication 1001 Inventions: Muslim Heritage in Our World, will be signing copies of the book for visitors to the Science Museum in London on Saturday the 10th of April 2010. Professor Salim Al-Hassani, who is founder and chairman of the Foundation for Science, Technology and Civilisation and the man who inspired the 1001 Inventions initiative will be at the Museum from 12pm to 4pm to meet the public and sign copies of the 1001 Inventions book.
This is a one-off event that will not be repeated. The book signing will take place inside the 1001 Inventions gallery on the first floor of London’s Science Museum. There is likely to be huge demand so, to avoid disappointment, visitors are advised to purchase a copy of the book in advance, either at the Waterstone’s bookshop on the ground floor or from our online Gift Shop.

The 1001 Inventions book is a 400 page, fully illustrated, textbook that uncovers more than a thousand years of underappreciated history from the Muslim civilisation. Get your personal copy of the book signed by the Chief Editor. Well-known people who have already received a personally signed copy include the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan , Mayor of London Boris Johnson, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister of Finland Tarja Halonen, UK Minister for Schools Jim Knight MP, Sir Richard Branson and with many more important people.
The event is likely to be very popular and we are also looking for London-based volunteers willing to help with the organisation of the book signing and to look after visitors when they arrive. If you are interested in helping out then please contact Nabeel Awan.
